Founded in the 1880’s\, the town of Newport had farms\, a post office and general store\, a saw mill and housed the lighthouse keeper.  \n\n\n\nLearn about the history of Newport from Dr. Bill Scheckler\, past president of the Newport Wilderness Society.  \n\n\n\nMeet near the picnic area\, Lot 3. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nCovid-19 Guidelines: Group sizes vary and may be limited to promote social distancing.
