SUMMARY:Plant a Perennial Pollinator Patio Pot
DESCRIPTION:If you are short on space but would like to plant to benefit pollinators\, here is your chance to plant a pot for your deck\, patio\, or porch.  \n\n\n\nLed by master naturalist Mary O’Grady\, this hands-on class will have you learning about pollinator-friendly native plants and planting a 12” pot for you to bring home. All materials will be supplied\, but feel free to bring garden gloves and a hand trowel. This planter will be suitable for a sunny location.  \n\n\n\nThe fee for this class is $45\, payable on the day of class. \n\n\n\nThis class is by reservation only\, with a maximum of 10 people. (Please call Mary O’Grady at 608-446-0092 to reserve your spot.)  \n\n\n\nMeet in the Nature Center\, Lot 1. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nAll programs are free\, but a state park admission sticker is required on all vehicles. SUMMARY:Honoring the Transition of Spring to Summer
DESCRIPTION:Join Marjasana Kay for a special gathering to celebrate the transition from spring to summer. The event includes a short talk on the meaning of the solstice\, interactive sharing\, group voice activation\, sound healing\, and a gentle “Resonant Walk with the Trees at Newport.” \n\n\n\nPlease bring: a mat\, blanket\, water bottle\,  and journal (for optional note taking). Dress for the weather. \n\n\n\nAbout Marjasana: A singer\, sound healer and visual artist\, Marjasana incorporates the gifts of the natural world in ALL of her work. She shares her deep appreciation of Earth’s seasonal shifts with community that is willing to see their reflection in Mother Nature in a respectful and joyful way. She leads nature-based workshops to many different meetings in Wisconsin. She has a unique collection of earth instruments to support deep connection with the natural world. \n\n\n\nRegistration required: Max 25 persons. Call park office at 920-854-2500.
