Our New Entrance Garden is Coming Along!

In the fall of 2024, our team of NWS Master Naturalists started on another garden project at Newport. They began transforming an uninteresting patch of grass at the entrance to the park into a much more welcoming native garden. The early stages of their efforts are documented here.

Their work has continued this spring. We wanted to document some of the hard work that has gone into completing the project. And we want to invite you to stop and enjoy both of our new gardens when you come to Newport.
