Getting Ready for Winter Walk

Autumn is a busy time for Newport’s critters as they prepare to cozy in for the approaching cold and dark winter months. Join park naturalists on a hike of the 1.2-mile Fern Trail to learn about some of the special winter adaptations wildlife possess while keeping an eye out for signs of animals preparing for winter.
Meet at Lot 3.
All programs are free, but a state park admission sticker is required on all vehicles.
