Stargazing at the Dark Sky Park

Join us at Wisconsin’s only designated dark sky park for a night of star gazing. There will be telescopes and other equipment set up with some of Door County’s best amateur astronomers on hand to point out some highlights of the night sky. All are welcome to bring their own telescopes, binoculars, or other optics .

Seating is extremely limited; bring chairs or blankets. Flashlights or headlamps with red lens cover are recommended to protect night vision. It is always a good idea to come during day time hours to familiarize yourself with the area first. 

Park at Lot 3 and follow the marked path to the viewing area.

Alternate date for rain/poor conditions: August 10^th. 

Covid-19 Guidelines: Group sizes vary and may be limited to promote social distancing. Participants are encouraged to practice social distancing, frequent hand washing and to wear a face covering if social distancing cannot be maintained. All programs will be outdoors. If you are feeling ill or experiencing symptoms of Covid-19, we ask that you refrain from participating in this program.
