Newport Bird Walk

Join Deb Ford to identify birds that are currently visiting Newport’s feeding station and the grassland and forest edges along the Monarch Trail. Breeding birds will be back on territory; there might be a few migrants still moving through. We never know what we will find. Deb will also have some resource suggestions to help locate and identify birds wherever you want to go birding.
Geared toward beginner and intermediate birders.
Bring: binoculars, comfortable walking shoes. No pets please. Suitable for children age 12+.
Meet at the Nature Center (Lot 1). Rain/strong winds will limit the walking portion.
All programs are free, but a state park admission sticker is required on all vehicles.
Some programs are weather related, so check with the park if you have any questions.
