Newport Past and Present: Sugarbush Trail

This is a NWS Wilderness Days Event
WI Master Naturalists and NWS volunteers Mary O’Grady and Lynn Reuter will take you back in time walking the 1.2-mile Sugarbush Trail. Imagine the land clear cut of trees then reworked as farms. You’ll learn how the forest recovered and is still recovering today.
Meet at Lot 4.
All programs are free, but a state park admission sticker is required on all vehicles.
Some programs are weather related, so check with the park if you have any questions.
