Newport Wilderness Society is proud to be a supporter of the 2021 Every Day is Earth Day celebration. This event celebrates the people, organizations, and businesses that uphold our sustainable culture in Door County and beyond. Every Day is Earth Day comprises an environmentally focused weekend of resource exchange, an open house, guest speakers, demonstrations, films, and activities for people of all ages.
The 50th anniversary of the founding of Earth Day was to be held in 2020, but with concerns surrounding the Covid pandemic in April 2020, event organizers thought it best to cancel the celebration. Covid-safe precautions will be in place for 2021 events. Some events will be held virtually and some will be held outdoors and in-person.
